. . . For Traction Help

As you will read below I am grateful for the snow, and even for shoveling, but only for shoveling if I use some traction help. My snowboots are great for keeping my feet warm, but I slide all over creation in them when I try to shovel!  This year I found something to help.  I hook it to the toe and heel of my boots and then I don't have to worry about sliding, it keeps me in one place.  This is a wonderful tool!  I went outside to start shoveling and forgot to put the traction help on, and my first step on a newly cleaned area was a slip rather than a step.  I immediately went inside and put on my traction help.  What a difference!!  I am grateful for the ingenuity that caused such a product to be designed, and that I have access to it. (And an extra pair, if anyone wants me to send it to them!)

These look really good. We have some here, but they just have coiled wire, not spikes. Glad you have them.

I thought about getting a set of these for my friend, Lela--she's 77 and pretty much housebound in the winter because her balance isn't that good and she doesn't want to fall on the ice. But she doesn't own any closed toed shoes--I don't suppose these things work well over sandals...?
